about

Named after the anti-depressant drug 'Sertraline', the debut track by Glasgow based trio True Arcadian is singer/guitarists, Greig Millar's attempt to express his experience of clinical depression and accompanying anxiety disorder. He made use of the drug during the recovery and continued prevention of relapse from his latest episode.

The track is fuelled with the agitation, frustration and vulnerability that a typical depressive episode puts the sufferer through. The subject matter aims to address the stigma attached to mental health issues while detailing the initial stages of the illness through the use of frantic, repetitive phrases which reflect the state of the depressed mind.
